Thang is a day-long performance of music, dance, word, and other performative thangs, free and open to the public.
I will be playing guitar in THANGband between other people's sets, with anyone else who wants to join me.
In addittion, I will be playing a ten minute solo guitar improvisational experimental set at some point during the day, time to be estimated/guessed at last minute subject to change as always.
THANG happens twice a year, early spring and late November.
I played as part of the underground collaborative improvised experimental music festival called XFest I've played it for many years, various locations.

XFest groups performers in unfamiliar configurations, challenging them to collaborate and explore their sonic and physical dynamics during 20 minute improvisations. Performers range from DIY to formally trained musicians, dancers, video, and visual artists from New England and beyond. As a weekend-long workshop, XFest provides the space and time for improvisers to interact through performance in front of an attuned audience of their peers.
XFest is a labor of community, funded by the organizers and participants.
